We have developed an initiative that adopts a set of ASDAN life challenges qualifications based around business, budgeting and bicycle maintenance. This means that our students will gain experience setting up a bicycle business. The students will learn how to create a business plan and marketing materials, source bicycles, learn how to repair them and sell them on for a profit. The proceed then go towards charities of their choice and their recreational activities.
Birmingham is moving towards becoming a bicycle hub and the students can regularly participate in bicycle rides. The students not only get to learn about the basics principles of running a business, but they also get to improve their health and contribute towards creating a cleaner environment.
